  Anger Management Workshop

Christian Counseling Services offers a 12-week workshop designed for individuals, and their mates, dealing with anger issues.  The program is based on Dr. Steven Stosny's HEALS™ approach, which is used in Fairfax County for court-mandated abusers with an 87% success rate.

Whether you have issues with road rage, child abuse, a chilly marriage, a grouchy work environment or violent crimes, this workshop is for you.  Anger is masking feelings that need to be identified.  This program is for both men and women.

What can the workshop do for you?

  • The workshop can help you replace the emotion of anger with that of compassion, so that you can build loving relationships
  • Anger is a secondary emotion.  Learn what is really motivating your anger
  • The workshop is applicable to wherever you are on the anger continuum, from driving aggressively to using profanity and up on the anger scale
  • In a few short weeks, you will learn positive and pleasant ways to regulate feelings, beliefs and behavior
  • Your self-esteem will rise and you will feel empowered to handle life's challenges

Group sessions are held on a regular basis; please contact CCS for a workshop schedule.  All workshops are conducted by a Licensed Professional Counselor and costs may be reimbursed by your insurance plan. Contact your medical benefits representative to see if you're covered.  The workshop is approved by Fairfax County for court-appointed individuals.  Pre-registration is required.

 Anger Compassion Workshop
A Workshop from Christian Counseling Services, Inc.

This workshop is recommended for anyone with anger issues. This program is used in Fairfax County with an 87% success rate. Great for couples and individuals. Through daily indibidual study and weekly group sessions you will be able to:

  • Learn positive and pleasant ways to regulate feelings, beliefs, and behaviors. 
  • Learn that anger is a secondary emotion, and that something else is triggering your anger.
  • Replace the emotion of anger with compassion so that you can build loving relationships
  • Unlock buried feelings from the past and experience healing and forgiveness
  • Raise your self esteem, and feel empowered to handle the many challenges of life
  • Dr. Stosny is the founder of this material and was a guest speaker on the Oprah Winfrey Show.
